Custom furniture to finish your space
Anderson (pictured left) is an incredibly talented carpenter & furniture designer who can take a concept from a rough napkin sketch to a realistic rendering, and then build the thing with his own bare hands. Over some beers, we decided his skills needed a serious brand, and after some naming exercises, we partnered up under the moniker TRIM Designs.
I (pictured right) designed the logo and together we produced brand assets that felt fitting to our personal tastes in art, design and humor. Anderson is especially gifted at creating life-like renders of his designs, so we used that to our advantage when producing the supporting brand elements; side tables tumbling across the void, or a bunch of chairs awkwardly mingling were just the tip of the designberg.
We produced some simple catalogs and created a website to help showcase our abilities.
We also collaborated on a rendered collage style for our Instagram which is still active here.
We landed some great meetings with big firms and had the opportunity to design and produce some amazing custom pieces for offices & homes across the country. One of our favorites was a 12.5’ conference table for Coda with metal legs custom powder coated to their primary brand color.
Currently, TRIM is being cryogenically frozen awaiting a time and place when we can build our own shop.
Turns out that outsourcing woodwork while insourcing design is like measuring once and then cutting thrice while blindfolded. Someday we will design and manufacture all in one place and TRIM will again be in business. Until then, 🍻.
